ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

About Department

Electrical engineering is a broad field of engineering which deals with the science and technology involving electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism, to design, construct, and maintain products, services, and information systems. Electrical engineering is the historical name for what is now called electrical, electronics, and computer engineering. This branch of engineering covers traditional areas like generation, distribution and transmission of electricity as well as new age applications in electronics ranging from telecommunications to computers and microprocessors. Thus most courses combine electrical and electronic systems. The course is closely linked with computation and neural systems, applied physics, computer science and applied dynamic systems. Students of electrical engineering are offered both theoretical and practical knowledge in a wide variety of subjects, including wireless systems, quantum electronics, modern optics, solid state materials and devices, power electronics, control theory; signal processing, data compression and communications etc.

Our Vision

"Education is not received. It is achieved" With this catch-phrase Electrical Engineering Department has been established with the vision to develop good electrical engineers with best technical and interactive skills so that they can serve society and nation in a best way. The Department of Electrical Engineering will provide programs of the highest quality to produce world class engineers who can address challenges of the millennium.

Our Mission

To provide quality engineering education to the students through state of art education in Computer engineering. To provide a learning environment that helps students to enhance problem solving skills, be successful in their professional lives and to prepare students to be lifelong learners by offering a solid theoretical foundation in computing along with applied computing experiences and educating them about their professional, and ethical responsibilities.

The academic staff comprises experienced faculty from diverse fields. The high calibre of the staff comes across through the composition of the faculty consisting of professionally qualified individuals.
